It’s an ongoing struggle. How does one fulfill their many duties outside of work? Duties as parents, as spouses, as friends and as the children of aging parents?

Work & Family Foundation Canada is a non-profit organization that studies and promotes work-life balance in Canada. We are partnered with the IESE Business School’s International Center for Work & Family (in Spain) and York University’s School of Human Resources Management.

We believe in the untapped potential for personal growth that lies in family life — growth that individuals bring to the organizations they work for.

Neither business nor society at large can remain viable without healthy family life.

We support those individuals who are committed to personal growth in their lives and careers. We also work with family-responsible employers that recognize the families of their employees as significant stakeholders in the long-term sustainability of their business.

Businesses that retain the best employees are those that respond to their employees’ changing needs at every stage of personal and professional development. More importantly, neither business nor society at large can remain viable without healthy family life.

We believe that integrity should permeate all spheres of life. And we’re here to help individuals and organizations bring out the very best in themselves.

Mission
WFFC helps individuals develop skills that are transferable between workplace and family, while promoting family-responsible practices in organizations – nurturing stable, thriving families, prosperous businesses and a sustainable economy and social fabric.

Vision
We envision a future where organizations empower their employees to live complete lives, where workers respond with great initiative, creativity and productivity, and where families and communities blossom.
